QEEP UP’s TOP 12 Skincare Must-Haves

The Nation

Clean skincare is a unified obsession amongst the Qeep Up team. We take it VERY seriously. It was hard for us to choose our favorites, but we narrowed it down to twelve we absolutely cannot live without. We’re always on the lookout for new products to add to our roster, so please let us know of some of your must-haves!

CEO/ Founder, Maggie Q:

ISUN Sapphire Facial Oil Moisturizer “This oil is rich and nourishing. A lot of oils on the market are made with filler ingredients that don’t feed the skin. They aren’t concentrated enough to make a difference. This is oil is the real deal.”

ISUN Phyto-Infusion Serum “I love a good serum. This is one that keeps you hydrated all day under your cream or sunscreen. It’s deeply hydrating and smells incredible!”

COO, Amanda:

Indie Lee’s COQ-10 Toner “I searched high and low for a ‘clean’ toner with NO alcohol. This one is so balancing, yet purifying. When my skin is feeling heavy, I apply it with a cotton pad. When my skin is feeling balanced, I mist. It’s cruelty-, phthalate-, and paraben-free.”

OSEA Undaria Algae Body Oil “I snuck a try of this at my best friend’s house in Venice and was immediately obsessed. It’s a splurge, but a little goes a long way and it’s unlike any body oil I’ve ever tried. It’s derived from organic ingredients and is lightweight to the touch.”

KNC Eye Mask “Masks have been my go to self-care during quarantine. I’m also trying to direct my purchases to Black-owned businesses, so I was excited to try this cute star eye mask. A note for those with sensitive skin: While it’s natural, it does contain retinol.”

Production Manager, Peri:

Living Libations Eye Serum “Everything created by Living Libations smells like heaven, if you imagine heaven to smell like an organic apothecary shop (which I do). They use the highest-grade essential oils and carrier oils that are mixed to care for your skin’s specific needs. Although the Open Sky Eye Serum is designated for the eye area, I use it all over my face. I put a bit on my palms and rub into the tips of my hair for that scented hair flip. This product is derived from organic ingredients that deeply moisturize the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and hydrated.”

Dr. Shulze’s Miracle Cream “The Dr. Schulze Miracle cream comes out of the tube, thick and heavy, but once you rub it between your palms it warms up and spreads nicely onto the face (and body). When it first goes on it seems oily, but it soaks in quickly. It feels like a super expensive spa creme, but with a price tag that won’t break the bank. Made from organic, botanical ingredients, this superfood cream helps improve skin health and is good for all skin types.”

Editor, Maggie K:

Allies of Skin 35% Vitamin C + Perfecting Serum “I don’t remember the article or the woman who raved about this waterless vitamin C serum, but I’m a sucker for anything with a high concentration of Vit C and antioxidants. It’s called ‘the world’s first waterless Vitamin C serum’ and it definitely has a unique, silky texture that glides on. It doesn’t feel harsh at all. I use it morning and night under my moisturizers and I think it has brightened my skin. It’s vegan, cruelty-free and collagen-building.”

Designer, Jenna:

Drunk Elephant Cleanser “I use the Drunk Elephant Cleanser and it’s amazing! Free of silicones and essential oils, it gently cleans skin of makeup and excess dirt.”

Content Producer / Executive Assistant, Selina:

Raw Elements Sunscreen “I can’t live without sunscreen. I’ve had it in my skincare routine since I popped out of the womb… My mom is Asian! Raw Elements is my go-to, crafted from organic ingredients, reef-safe and with an SPF 30, I never leave home without it on.”

Luminance Skincare Nite Skin Butter “This whipped peptide night cream is like nothing I have ever tried before. It feels like a cloud on your face. Lightweight but deeply moisturising, it’s good for all skin types. Formulated from organic and vegan ingredients, this handmade product is one-of-a-kind.”

Golde Clean Greens Face Mask “This mask is so clean you can literally eat it! (I wouldn’t recommend it, but it’s that pure.) It’s a powder-to-gel mask, so I recommend you wear clothes you don’t mind getting some green splatter on when mixing—in case you’re klutzy like me. Certified organic, travel-safe, vegan and cruelty-free, this mask is a great addition to any beauty routine.”
